The Band is Back Together Again: Drew McIntyre Reunites With Former WWE Stablemates

Wrestling fans got a sweet surprise when Drew McIntyre shared a photo with his old friends.

The Scottish star posted a picture on social media showing him with Heath Slater and Jinder Mahal. All three wrestlers were part of the famous 3MB group more than ten years ago. McIntyre wrote “It happened again” with the photo. The picture shows the three men hanging out together, looking happy to see each other. They were all holding up three fingers, just like they used to do during their 3MB days.

The 3MB reunion comes eleven years after the group broke up. The Three Man Band was a wrestling team that started in 2012. Drew McIntyre, Heath Slater, and Jinder Mahal formed the group when they helped each other during matches and considered themselves to be a rock band,

Back in their 3MB days, the group was mostly used as a comedy act. The group ended in 2014 when the company let go of McIntyre and Mahal. Heath Slater stayed with the company for a few more years. The three wrestlers stayed close friends over the years.

The Growth of the Man Band, Including Drew McIntyre

What makes this reunion special is how much each wrestler has achieved since their 3MB days ended. Drew McIntyre became one of the biggest stars of this company and held the WWE Championship during the pandemic. He went from being seen as a joke to carrying the whole company when fans could not attend shows.

Jinder Mahal also surprised everyone by winning the WWE Championship in 2017. He became the first wrestler of Indian background to hold that title. Meanwhile, Heath Slater won tag team championships and had success with different partners. He left the promotion in 2020 after fourteen years with the company.

The three friends have reunited before. Earlier this year, they got together at Jinder Mahal’s wedding ceremony. McIntyre and Slater wore traditional Indian clothes for the special day. McIntyre even posted photos from the wedding, showing how close the three men still are.
