Global music superstar and occasional WWE competitor Bad Bunny recently opened up about the most painful moment of his wrestling career.
During an appearance on Hot Ones, Bunny reflected on his unforgettable match against Damian Priest at Backlash 2023, where he delivered a standout performance in front of an electric Puerto Rican crowd.
Fans have been clamouring for Bunny’s return to the ring, with many speculating he could make a surprise appearance in this year’s Royal Rumble. Such a move would align perfectly with the promotion of his latest album, “DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS.” However, Bunny didn’t hold back when recalling one particularly painful moment from his previous wrestling endeavours.
“Damian Priest hit me with the kendo stick. I always thought, even listening since I was a kid, ‘No, the kendo stick doesn’t hurt. That’s like… it’s just this little wooden stick.’ But f**k, that hurt. That hurt a lot.”
The match, a San Juan Street Fight, earned critical acclaim and despite the punishment he endured, including the kendo stick shot, Bunny’s passion for professional wrestling has made him a fan favourite among wrestling audiences. With the Royal Rumble fast approaching, fans are eager to see if Bad Bunny will step back into the squared circle.
