Following further reports of Tessa Blanchard having a falling out with Women Of Wrestling, the former IMPACT World Champion has seemingly responded to the news.
Tessa Blanchard has been almost entirely inactive since departing IMPACT Wrestling in the summer of 2020, wrestling just once as she lost the Warrior Wrestling Women’s Championship to Kylie Rae. She was, however, announced to be part of the revived Women Of Wrestling organisation last October, though this is now in doubt.
Per Fightful Select, Tessa has reportedly fallen out with WOW management, with one source believing she may have left the company entirely, though this hasn’t been officially confirmed. Other sources indicated that acting classes were cancelled following Tessa tearing apart Samantha Sage, while also being removed from her role of training talent.
The report also states that due to many within Women Of Wrestling signing non-disclosure agreements, there is a fear of backlash from either the company or from Tessa Blanchard herself should they speak out about these issues.
Tessa has since seemingly reacted to this report, as she took to Instagram to post a quote by Pastor Matthew Hagee that reads, “When standing up for your beliefs becomes a matter of great inconvenience, will you stand…”
Blanchard has been a controversial figure within wrestling since it emerged in January 2020 that she had allegedly spat in the face of La Rosa Negra and used racist language towards her, while other stars – Chelsea Green and Allysin Kay included – alleged that Blanchard had constantly belittled and bullied her co-workers. Tessa denies these allegations.
Women Of Wrestling is due to hold television tapings this week from Los Angeles, with Tessa Blanchard’s status still up in the air, per the Fightful Select report. New episodes of their television series are due to begin airing this autumn on ViacomCBS.
