Tessa Blanchard Reportedly In “Fallout” With WOW

Tessa Blanchard

Former IMPACT Wrestling World Champion Tessa Blanchard’s status with the WOW promotion is up in the air amid reports of a fallout between the two sides.

In October 2021 it was reported that Tessa Blanchard was set to be a major part of the relaunched WOW Women Of Wrestling promotion, with former WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee acting as executive producer of the company.

Now however Fightful Select has reported that all is not well between Blanchard and WOW with sources from the company saying that there has been “a bit of a fallout” between the two sides.

A source is reported to have alleged that Tessa Blanchard cut a promo that saw her “tear apart” fellow wrestler Samantha Sage who competes as Americana. Many other trainees are said to have spoken up after the incident with further acting classes cancelled.

Blanchard is reportedly no longer in charge of training talent with those duties being overseen by Selina Majors who is best known as Bambi, who had a hand in training current NXT 2.0 star Nikkita Lyons.

An anonymous source is also reported to have implied Tessa Blanchard may only be able to now work in Mexico as they were quoted as saying “If you are a fan of Tessa, you’d better learn Spanish.”

Blanchard left IMPACT in June 2020, after a series of serious allegations were made against the star. The former AAA Reina de Reinas Champion had also at one time been linked with a move to AEW. Tessa Blanchard did wrestle on the precursor to All Elite Wrestling – the All In show in 2018 – in a match that Chelsea Green says Blanchard tried to manipulate the outcome of.

However, speaking in February 2021, AEW announcer Tony Schiavone said that she wouldn’t be joining the promotion “anytime soon.” 26-year-old Blanchard last wrestled in September 2020 when she dropped the Warrior Wrestling Women’s Title to Kylie Rae.
