The Bloodline isn’t the only WWE faction that’s hit on troubled times.
Just a few short weeks ago Finn Balor inadvertently cost Damian Priest a shot at victory as he took on Seth Rollins on Raw. Then in the hours after winning the Money In The Bank briefcase in London, Priest came to ringside and that distracted Balor enough to also lose a match with Rollins.
Fast forward to the July 3rd edition of Raw, and Balor was missing from the show — at least initially — and his teammates said they’d got no idea where he was.
In the main event, Dominik took on Rollins and eventually Damian Priest got involved. While this caused a disqualification, Priest’s attack paved the way for him to cash in his Money In The Bank briefcase. However, just as he climbed into the ring with his briefcase in hand, Balor emerged from nowhere and attacked Rollins. This sparked a furious argument between Priest and Balor as Dominik and Rhea Ripley tried to keep the peace.
In the end, Dominik got hit with a Pedigree, and Priest and Balor were taking each other to task as the show went off the air.
Brock Lesnar Returns On WWE Raw
The July 3rd episode of Raw also saw the return of Brock Lesnar, who wasted no time in picking up exactly where he left off at Night of Champions. The Beast interrupted Cody Rhodes as he was about to address Seth Rollins, and from there the fight was on.
Rhodes sprinted up the ramp to meet Lesnar, and the pair brawled around ringside and into the ring as a stunned World Heavyweight Champion watched on.
Lesnar went to deliver an F-5, but Rhodes escaped, hitting a Cody Cutter that sent the former UFC star scrambling to the outside and eventually backstage.
Later in the show, Rhodes said in an interview that he was prepared to fight Lesnar on any day and every day if he needed to.
It has since been reported that Lesnar’s scheduled return at Money In The Bank was delayed due to appearances from John Cena and Drew McIntyre at the event in the UK.
