Dashwood takes on Jordynne Grace at this weekend’s IMPACT Plus exclusive event, which takes place three weeks away from Bound For Glory. However, the pair – while being world-class talents – are just the tip of the iceberg of an incredibly stacked Knockouts Division that features Deonna Purrazzo, Kylie Rae, Susie, Taya Valkyrie and many others.
I asked Dashwood if there’s any unique pressure being part of such a stacked division, knowing that any one of those women could be THE top woman in most other promotions.
“I don’t know if we’re going to be friends or not because you kind of started by complimenting me and then went back into saying that I’m not THE focus, or the best, in this division. It’s kind of confusing because clearly I am. There’s some good competition, you mentioned some names, but this… [Tenille uses her hands to frame her face] ..is still the focus, you know, around here.”
Following on from that, I also asked, with the Knockouts Division being so stacked, would Dashwood welcome a return of the Knockouts Tag Team Championships?
“I would. I would absolutely love to see them. I wouldn’t be part of it because I don’t need a partner. It’s just solely me, but I’m happy for the other women to go after things like that while I go after the [Knockouts] Championship and take that.”
