Tegan Nox Returns To Ring During Raw Dark Match

Tegan Nox

Tegan Nox may finally be off the long-term injured reserve list on NXT has reportedly made their return to the ring in a dark match before Raw on Monday night.

Welsh superstar Tegan Nox has been out of action since the end of September after suffering yet another torn ACL in her knee. This was another chapter in Nox’s unfortunate run of serious knee injuries. In 2017 after being announced for the inaugural Mae Young Classic tournament, Nox was forced to withdraw after suffering the same injury before the tournament even began.

After bravely battling back from that setback Nox did compete in the 2018 edition of the Mae Young Classic, winning her first two matches in the tournament. Disaster struck again for Tegan Nox during her quarter-final bout with current Raw Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley. Nox flew to the outside of the ring with a dive on Ripley where she appeared to suffer another injury to her knee. After valiantly trying to continue the match, it was eventually brought to a halt as Nox could no longer compete. Afterwards, Nox revealed she had torn her ACL, MCL, meniscus, lateral collateral ligament, and dislocated her kneecap.

After another ten months on the sidelines, Nox returned to NXT where she first teamed with long-time friend Dakota Kai before Kai turned on her at War Games in November 2019. A feud with Kai followed before Tegan Nox became the number one contender to Io Shirai’s NXT Women’s Championship. Nox was unsuccessful in claiming the gold for herself shortly before her most recent injury.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported that Nox was involved in a dark match before Raw took place, where she battled fellow NXT star Toni Storm.

If Nox is ready to compete once again, she has a ready-made storyline waiting for her if she returns to NXT. The Way’s Candice LeRae was responsible [on-screen] for the attack on Nox that explained her absence due to injury.
