Teddy Long believes that Braun Strowman could and should, be heading for bigger and better things.
Strowman returned to WWE in September 2022 looking leaner and stronger than ever. However, his second run with the company stumbled initially, but a partnership with Ricochet significantly improved his fortunes.
Although the pair are yet to taste tag team gold, their unlikely partnership has proved to be a big hit with live crowds and has given both men regular spots on SmackDown and then Raw.
During a special Q&A edition of Sportskeeda’s Wrestling Time Machine, WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long was asked to name his WrestleMania dream match and surprisingly picked a match involving Strowman. However, that was nothing compared to the surprise of his opponent, AEW World Champion, MJF.
“For WrestleMania, I’ll tell you what, I’d like to give them, maybe, MJF and Braun Strowman.”
Braun Strowman is set to miss WWE’s upcoming Premium Live Event Night of Champions, but MJF will be in action just 24 hours later. At Double or Nothing the star will defend the AEW World Championship against Darby Allin, Jungle Boy, and Sammy Guevara.
Teddy Long Believes WWE Veteran Should Retire
Speaking on an earlier episode of the podcast, Long discussed the status of Randy Orton as speculation about his future continues to swirl. After it came to light that doctors have told Orton not to wrestle again, the former SmackDown General Manager believes that’s a sign that he should step away from the ring.
