Teddy Long Calls For Shocking Name To Retire Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar has racked up one of the more impressive careers in WWE history but as everyone knows, all good things must come to an end.

While it seems that Lesnar has no plans to hang up his boots any time soon, at 45 years old he’s undoubtedly closer to the end of his career than he is to the start. This leads to the interesting question, who will be the man to retire Brock Lesnar?

Speaking on the Wrestling Time Machine podcast, veteran and WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long believes he may have the answer. Looking ahead, Long said that Bron Breakker could be the man to conquer The Beast.

“Steiner’s kid has got a great-looking body. That kid looks really good and he’s a good worker. I’ve seen him work in the ring, so yeah, that’s not a bad idea.”

Why Did Brock Lesnar Work With Paul Heyman?

During the conversation, Long also discussed Lesnar’s longtime pairing with Paul Heyman. For much of his career, it was Heyman who cut promos on behalf of Lesnar, rather than letting the former UFC star speak for himself. Long explained that the partnership came not from Lesnar being unable to cut a promo, but from needing to benefit from Heyman’s experience in the industry.

“It’s not so much as that Brock needs the mouthpiece, you know, Brock can basically talk by himself. What Brock needs is the insight, the knowledge, to know-when-to-do-this, to know-when-to-do-that. Paul Heyman has been around this business for a long, long time and Paul Heyman is certainly … a really smart guy.”

Brock Lesnar will seemingly be back in action at Elimination Chamber when he takes on Bobby Lashley for a third time. Lesnar called out Lashley on the February 6th episode of Monday Night Raw where he presented the All-Mighty with a contract for a match at the event on February 18th. It has been announced that there will be a contract signing on the upcoming episode of the red brand.
