Taz has announced that he has disbanded Team Taz, sending Powerhouse Hobbs, Ricky Starks and HOOK off into the big wide world with his blessing.
On the July 27th episode of AEW Dynamite, Ricky Starks put his FTW Championship on the line against Danhausen. After dispatching the very nice, but very evil one in short order, Starks laid down another open challenge.
This time his call was answered by HOOK. The second generation star wasted little time in getting down to action, defeating Starks with the Red Rum. The defeat brought to an end the more than a year long reign of Starks.
After the match, Starks gave an interview to Tony Schiavone where he aired his frustrations. Not even at the defeat, simply his role in AEW. To huge cheers, the star said that it was time to shine, but just as he hit top gear he was attacked by teammate Powerhouse Hobbs.
Fast forward seven days, and it was time for Taz to address the status of the faction that he created. The ECW legend announced that the team had reached the end of the road, wishing Hobbs, HOOK and Starks the best.
Back in the ring, Powerhouse Hobbs made quick work of Ren Jones, before Starks ran in to try and get revenge for the previous week. Despite landing a few huge punches, Starks was flattened by a huge Spinebuster.

It wasn’t a good night for factions as earlier in the night, The Undisputed Elite imploded in spectacular fashion.
