Former WWE Superstar Taya Valkyrie has discussed the possibility of her joining AEW in the future should the opportunity arise.
Taya Valkyrie joined WWE in 2021 after a career that saw her have standout performances in AAA, Lucha Underground, and IMPACT Wrestling.
Valkyrie competed for WWE for only 7 months between April and November 2021 when she was released from the company. Known as Franky Monet during her time on NXT, the longest-reigning IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Champion of all time only wrestled 6 times on the developmental brand before being let go.
Commenting on her options moving forward during a virtual signing, Taya Valkyrie revealed she was open to becoming All Elite:
“Of course I would go to AEW. I mean, they are doing something different, a lot of my peers and my best friends, my brothers [Rey] Fenix and Pentagon are over there so why not? So we’ll see what happens.”
Valkyrie also touched on her time as part of NXT and says she doesn’t feel she was given an opportunity to showcase her skills:
“It was great [being in NXT] but I wish that I had gotten more of an opportunity to show what I can do, I’ll be honest. I didn’t feel like I was given the opportunity I needed and I don’t even think I scratched the surface of what you all know. With that said, I did gain a lot of knowledge. I learned a lot about myself and I am super excited to bring all of that and remind all of you about who I am starting next week.”
