A heartwarming moment shared between Tamina and Vince McMahon has been released as part of a new video chronicling the former’s Women’s Tag Team title win.
On the May 14th edition of SmackDown, Natalya & Tamina defeated Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship after failing to capture the belts at WrestleMania. This marks the very first time the Samoa-native has held gold in the company since her debut almost 11 years ago.
In a new behind-the-scenes video released on WWE’s YouTube channel, various stars were seen congratulating the two on the victory including Tyson Kidd who claimed “the sky’s the limit” for the 43-year-old!
“The sky’s the limit when it comes to Tamina and I’ve always believed that in her. I’m glad that other people are seeing it now too. It makes me very emotional but it [also] makes me very, very, very proud.”
The footage also featured a rare appearance from Vince McMahon who can be seen telling Tamina “congratulations” in gorilla position before the two share an emotional hug. The moment can be seen at around the 5:40 mark.
Tamina went on to share the footage on Twitter shortly after its release and paid tribute to those who had contributed to her wrestling journey:
“Thank you for this. Can’t tell you enough how much I love and appreciate everyone who was a part of this journey.”
