Tamina Snuka has lifted the lid on who she sees as the leader of the women’s division in WWE, comparing them to WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
Snuka has recently been in conflict with cousin Nia Jax on SmackDown as part of an ongoing feud for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. Tamina and Natalya won a tag team gauntlet match on Night 1 of WrestleMania to earn a shot at the champions on Night 2. Ultimately the duo failed to unseat Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler as champions.
Speaking to ViBe & Wrestling, Tamina Snuka was asked who she sees as the ‘Roman Reigns’ of the women’s division. Reigns has held the WWE Universal Title for several months and looked unbeatable as he pinned both Daniel Bryan and Edge in the main event of WrestleMania. Backstage, Reigns is also considered a leader in the WWE locker room and is widely respected by his peers.
“If you wanna go for the Polynesian side of it I have to say that I am the ‘Roman Reigns’ because it is not Nia for sure. Definitely not Nia. If you wanna talk outside of the Polynesian culture, the ‘Roman Reigns’ of the women’s locker room both Raw and SmackDown… maybe Charlotte. I would say probably Charlotte at this point. She came back and she definitely got something on her head, she is coming back for something and definitely wants to prove who she is. She came out and put everybody on the spot and she addressed all the locker room so I would have to say maybe Charlotte right now.”
Flair is recognised as a record-setting twelve-time WWE Women’s Champion, holding various incarnations of championships. She was recently suspended by WWE official Adam Pearce for attacking a referee on Raw. However, since then her suspension was rescinded by Pearce’s assistant Sonya Deville. This allowed Flair to compete on Raw and defeat Deville’s former partner Mandy Rose.
