AEW commentator, Jim Ross, has agreed with recent comments made by The Undertaker about the state of the current WWE product.
On January 20, ‘The Deadman’ appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience Podcast where he made mention that the current WWE product was, ‘a little soft’, among other topics which arose between the host and his unearthly guest.
Since those comments were made, several current and former WWE stars have come out both in support of and against such accusations with Roman Reigns being the most current.
Now, AEW’s lead-commentator Jim Ross has taken to his Grilling JR Podcast to give his opinion on the interview and agree with his former colleague, stating that the reason he is correct is because current talent are not as tough as they used to be:
“Because they’re trained differently. They’re brought into the business differently, they’re not sitting in a car, they’re not making 25-40 bucks a night. It’s just a different ball game and Taker’s got a good point there. Today’s wrestling getting chopped unmercifully to where your blood is rushing to the surface and bruising is already in affect, probably wouldn’t happen in today’s world because the offending person wouldn’t stand for it.”
The Undertaker retired from professional wrestling on November 22, 2020, after bidding a final farewell at Survivor Series. However, despite his apparent exit from the industry there have been persistent rumours of the talent being undecided for some type of WrestleMania appearance on April 10 and April 11.
