Thor: Love and Thunder director Taika Waititi has confirmed a WWE-related easter egg in the new Marvel blockbuster.
The latest movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe features the return of Chris Hemsworth as the titular character in Thor: Love and Thunder. The film sees Hemsworth do battle with Gorr The God Butcher, portrayed by Christian Bale.

Another character who returned to the big screen was the God of Thunder’s friend and self-described “Big pile of rocks”, Korg. During the course of the movie, it was revealed that Korg had found love in the form of a man named Dwayne, who is also a Kronan, or a pile of rocks.
That got one fan thinking that maybe it wasn’t a coincidence that the Kronan being was called Dwayne and that it could be a reference to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The Director of the movie, Taika Waititi took to social media to confirm the idea.

While The Rock is not actually a part of Thor: Love and Thunder, he is taking on the role of a superhero within the DC Universe in the upcoming Black Adam movie which is slated for release in October 2022.
Meanwhile, the man who plays Thor, Chris Hemsworth, is attached to play Hulk Hogan in an upcoming biopic of the wrestling legend.
