Tag Team Title Ladder Match Set For AEW Dynamite

AEW Tag Team Champion Jurassic Express

Tony Khan has announced that a huge World Tag Team Title Match will still be taking place on AEW Dynamite Road Rager.

On June 13th plans for AEW Dynamite Road Rager were thrown into disarray following the news that Jeff Hardy had been arrested for DUI in Florida.

The star had been due to appear at Road Rager on June 15th in a huge Three-Way Ladder Match for the World Tag Team Titles. Hardy was scheduled to team with his brother Matt to take on the Young Bucks and tag champions Jurassic Express.

However, in the wake of the arrest, AEW pulled all advertising for the match. Furthermore, it was reported that AEW actually asked Warner Media to remove all advertising featuring the star.

Despite Hardy’s absence, it has been announced that fans will still get to see a Ladder Match on Dynamite. Posting on social media, AEW President Tony Khan revealed that the bout will now feature the Young Bucks taking on the champions.

In an earlier post on June 14th, Khan also addressed the situation surrounding Jeff Hardy. In a short statement, it was confirmed that the tag team legend had been suspended without pay. In addition, the company stated that they would assist Hardy as he gets treatment for substance abuse.

In closing, Hardy can return to work when he completed his treatment and maintained his sobriety.

After being pulled over, Hardy was arrested and according to Volusia County jail records, was charged with Driving While License Canceled/Suspended/Revoked, Violation of Restrictions Placed on Drivers License, and DUI Alcohol/Drugs Third Offense within 10 Years.

Elsewhere on the show, Ethan Page will take on Miro in a qualifying match for the All-Atlantic Championship and Chris Jericho meets Ortiz in a ‘Hair vs. Hair’ match.
