Wrestling Legend Almost Quit WWE Hall Of Fame Over Donald Trump

Donald Trump at WWE Hall of Fame

A wrestling legend has admitted that they almost pulled themselves from the WWE Hall of Fame over Donald Trump’s induction.

During a recent interview on Insight With Chris Van Vilet, legendary announcer and former Governor of Minnesota Jesse Ventura revealed that he is staunchly against Donald Trump in the upcoming US Presidental Election.

Ventura went on to admit that, despite having previously been friendly with the former US President, Ventura objects to him nowadays and has even considered resigning from the WWE Hall of Fame several times due to Trump’s induction into it.

“I have an objection to one of these candidates. I object to him, and I can say him so you know who it is now. I can object to him because he is in the wrestling hall of fame. I’ve almost resigned from it on two or three occasions because of that.”

“He ain’t the same man. He ain’t the same guy, and you learn more about people as time goes on.”

Ronda Rousey in the ring at WWE SummerSlam 2022

Ronda Rousey has proclaimed that a full-time return to WWE is out of the question.

During a recent livestream on her YouTube channel, Rousey was asked about the possibility of her returning to WWE just over a year on from her last match with the company at SummerSlam 2023.

The former Raw and SmackDown Women’s Champion admitted that she will likely never make a full-time return to the company but would be open to a reunion with Shayna Baszler now that Triple H is firmly in control of the company.

Am I gonna come back to WWE? Definitely not full-time like before but, it’d be fun to team up with Shayna (Baszler) again. I even have our makeup speech written. But, who knows? I heard things are a lot better with Triple H. It’s just I got a baby to have…

Raw

Raw Star Blasts Name Change For Almost Ending Their Career

Pete Dunne celebrating after getting a win on a 2024 episode of WWE Raw

Pete Dunne has opened up about how his controversial name change to Butch almost ended his entire WWE career.

Speaking during a Raw exclusive clip, Pete Dunne hit out at Sheamus for calling him ‘Butch’ during their recent Raw match earlier this month. Dunne made his feelings on the divisive name crystal clear, stating that it demoralised him and almost ended his entire career.

However, he vowed to make up for his setbacks by winning the Intercontinental Championship #1 Contender’s Tournament in order to capture his first championship on the WWE main roster.

I’ve been in this business long enough to know you’re gonna win matches, you’re gonna lose matches, it’s part of the job. But for Sheamus, that scumbag, to turn around and still call me Butch, to have a laugh that something that nearly killed my career, this is all I’ve got, man. He knows that.

All I’ve ever been and ever will be is a fighter. To be demoralized and reduced to that name, it shows what kind of person he really is. I don’t deserve it. You all know that.

But you know what I do deserve, after all the setbacks and backstabs? A shot at the Intercontinental Title. I’m not taking this opportunity lightly. When I win that tournament and I have my hand lifted in the air, you can all call me something I approve of — champion.
