Inside the Ropes is saddened to learn of the passing of wrestling legend Sid Eudy.
Known to fans as Sycho Sid, Sid Vicious, and Sid Justice, Sid Eudy spent decades in the world of professional wrestling. With reigns as both WWE and WCW World Champion, the Master and Ruler of the World was beloved by fans for his outlandish promo style and his impressive physique.
Eudy’s son Gunnar took to social media on August 26th to reveal the sad news that his father had passed away after a long battle of cancer. He wrote:

Dear friends and family,
I am deeply saddened to share that my father, Sid Eudy, has passed away after battling cancer for several years. He was a man of strength, kindness, and love, and his presence will be greatly missed.
We appreciate your thoughts and prayers as we grieve this loss. Details for a memorial service will be shared soon.Thank you for your support.

When Did Sycho Sid Eudy Retire From Professional Wrestling?
Sid began his illustrious wrestling career in 1987 after an encounter with Randy Savage and his brother Lanny Poffo.
The star’s final match took place on August 5th, 2017, where he defeated Paul Rosenberg in the Canadian independent promotion Great North Wrestling. His final match on WWE television took place on June 25th, 2012, where he scored a quick victory over Heath Slater.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Inside the Ropes in 2019, Sid opened up about who was to blame for his devastating broken leg in WCW in 2001.
