Surprising Hall Of Famer Seemingly Set For Shock WWE Return

Surprising WWE Hall Of Famer

WWE Hall of Famer Jesse Ventura has stated that he is in discussions about making a return to the company.

The former wrestler and announcer has had a rocky relationship with the company over the years, in particular with former Chairman Vince McMahon. The disagreement came to a head when Ventura brought up the topic of wrestlers forming a union shortly before WrestleMania 2, something that McMahon has been categorically against.

Ventura left the company but would return in 1999, famously acting as the special guest referee in the main event of SummerSlam 1999. The Hall of Famer would also return in 2009 to guest host an episode of Monday Night Raw.

While appearing on The Vanguard, Ventura discussed the power of unions before he confirmed that he has been in talks with the company:

“I will tell you this, now that wrestling has chosen this new direction, shall we call it. Jesse Ventura is in talks with them. It required them going in this new direction. I hope you get what I’m saying about the new direction. The direction the company is now going was good enough for Jesse Ventura and the WWE to begin talking again,”

The topic of Vince McMahon’s exit was brought up before Ventura revealed the aforementioned talks. McMahon resigned after being accused of sex trafficking and multiple counts of sexual misconduct by former employee Janel Grant.

On top of his tenure in the wrestling world, Ventura had a successful political career as he ran as Governor of Minnesota from 1999 to 2003. The former announcer also starred in multiple movies from 1987 to 2014.

WWE Pitched For First-Time-Ever Event

On multiple occasions, WWE has stated that they are in a new era and are looking to continue to make changes. While on the campaign trail, Mayor of London Sadiq Khan stated that he wanted WrestleMania to come to London.
