Surprising Match Featuring Seth Rollins Added To WWE Backlash

Seth Rollins WWE Raw entrance

With WWE Backlash on the horizon, the card for the event is beginning to take shape.

The Premium Live Event on May 6th will see WWE return to Puerto Rico for the first time in almost 20 years. WWE hasn’t held an event on the island since New Year’s Revolution 2005, an event headlined by an Elimination Chamber match featuring Triple H, Batista, Randy Orton, Chris Jericho, Edge, and Chris Benoit.

Backlash 2023 is the first PLE after WrestleMania 39 and the top of the card is looking stacked. It has already been announced that Brock Lesnar vs. Cody Rhodes will headline the event, while Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, The Usos, and Rhea Ripley will also be in action.

However, one new announcement for the show has caused more confusion than excitement among fans.

On the April 21st episode of SmackDown, it was revealed that Seth Rollins would take on Omos at the show. This is despite the pair not interacting on television or social media.

Rollins has only wrestled once since defeating Logan Paul at WrestleMania 39, that outcoming on the April 17th edition of Raw where he saw off The Miz. There had been speculation that the star was unhappy with his current role after his segment was seemingly cut on Raw after WrestleMania. However, it has since been reported that this is not the case.
