Tammy Sytch – known to WWE fans as Sunny – may be looking for new representation after her lawyer filed to withdraw as her legal counsel in her DUI manslaughter case.
Sunny’s most recent arrest came after she crashed into a motionless car, which caused the death of a 75-year-old man, for which she paid a bond of $227,500 to be released from jail.
Days after this was reportedly posted, a judge revoked her bail, meaning Sunny will remain in prison until her trial begins. Upon the judgement being made at today’s hearing, Judge Karen Foxman claimed there was no reasonable way to keep the public safe while she’s in this state, as was reported by Claire Metz, a reporter with WESH 2.
Now things have gone from bad to worse for the shamed ex-WWE star. Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported that Sunny’s attorney has filed a motion to withdraw as her legal representation.
The report notes three reasons that lawyer Steven deLaroche has asked the court to withdraw from the proceedings. These are –
- An impasse has been reached in the handling of the case, making it impossible for the client and attorney to continue to work cooperatively on the case.
- The client has not complied with the terms of the employment agreement with this attorney.
- The client will not be prejudiced if the undersigned is permitted to withdraw.
The court is yet to approve or deny deLaroche’s request, meanwhile Sunny has been in jail for over five weeks now as she awaits her trial.
