On Tuesday’s edition of IMPACT Wrestling, it was confirmed that Su Yung would defend her IMPACT Knockouts Championship in a Bound For Glory rematch next week.
The rematch came about when former champion Purrazzo, enraged at her loss, decided that she would issue a lawsuit to Executive Vice President of IMPACT Wrestling, Scott D’Amore, if he refused to acquiesce to her demands and strip Su Yung of the gold.
Flanked by her R.D. Evans and Lee legal team, the former champion was told that although her case could take years to reach court, she would be given an opportunity to reclaim her title next week. After speaking the matter over with her representation, Deonna agreed to the terms.
After the opportunity was accepted, ‘The Undead Bride’ made her way to the squared circle and wasted no time in dispatching the legal team leaving the confrontation between champion and challenger.
She then blinded D’Amore with red mist and applied The Purge mandible claw to Deonna in the middle of the ring.
Su Yung shocked everyone at Bound for Glory this past weekend when she defeated Deonna Purrazzo to claim the strap. Especially since the former had been doing sterling work as the head of the division and signed a long-term contract with the company.
Yung answered an open challenge when Kylie Rae failed to appear for her scheduled bout thanks to what is being referred to as an undiagnosed injury.
