‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin To Toast SmackDown Season Premier On Pre-Show

‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin will return to WWE tonight as a guest on the Friday Night SmackDown season premier pre-show, as first reported by Fox Sports.

This will be the first time Austin has been on WWE television since the March 16, 2020, Monday Night Raw when appeared to promote ‘3:16 Day’. On that occasion, ‘The Texas Rattlesnake’ nailed Byron Saxton and The Street Profits with Stone Cold Stunners and shared a celebratory drink with Becky Lynch.

The host of the Broken Skull Sessions, ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin won’t be alone on the season premier pre-show, however, he will be joined by George Kittle (San Francisco 49ers tight end) and MLB legend David Ortiz with the show being hosted by Michael Cole, Booker T and Rene Paquette – formerly Rene Young.

For American viewers, the show will begin at 7:30pm on Fox.

The season premier of Friday Night SmackDown will feature:

  • Roman Reigns vs Braun Strowman – WWE Universal Championship Match
  • The New Day vs. Sheamus, Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro – New Day Farewell Match
  • The Street Profits vs. Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode – SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match
  • Lars Sullivan vs. Jeff Hardy

The show will open with the return of Daniel Bryan to WWE who has been absent from the company since being pinned by AJ Styles in a bout to crown a new WWE Intercontinental Champion on the June 12 edition of the blue brand.
