Stokely Hathaway Arrives In AEW At Double Or Nothing

Stokely Hathaway is All Elite

In a shocking and very much unexpected twist, at AEW Double or Nothing, Stokely Hathaway became All Elite.

On April 29th, Malcolm Bivens was released by WWE alongside Dakota Kai, Dexter Lumis and seven other NXT Superstars.

While it was reported that the releases were due to budget cuts, it was also noted that Bivens, also known as Stokely Hathaway, had no plans to re-sign with the company when his contract expired.

At the time it was reported that Hathaway was also in the frame to be moved to the main roster to manage Omos before the decision was made to go with MVP.

Since being released, the former Malcom Bivens had remained out of the spotlight until striding down the ramp at AEW Double or Nothing, wide eyes and all.

Hathaway appeared during the TBS Championship match between Jade Cargill and Anna Jay.

Despite holding a clear power advantage, Cargill was unable to make quick work of her rival as she had hoped. In response, there were shenanigans galore as seemingly half the AEW locker room came to get involved. First up were the Baddies who were on the receiving end of a double-DDT by Jay.

With the pair out of action, Mark Sterling hobbled to the ring, crutch in hand, distracting the referee, throwing it into the ring. Although the plan didn’t quite work out, as Jay intercepted the weapon and nailed Cargill for a near-fall.

At this Hathaway made his way to ringside, distracting Anna Jay in the process, enabling Cargill to grab the win. After the match, the former NXT star celebrated with Cargill and her Baddies in the ring.

However, the victorious group were confronted by another former WWE star in the shape of Athena, formerly known as Ember Moon. With the celebrations in full swing, Athena arrived in the ring, as Cargill and company made their exit.
