Sting

Sting will wrestle in front of a UK crowd for the first time in 10 years.

The Icon has officially been announced for a match at the upcoming All In pay-per-view, teaming with long-time Ally Darby Allin to take on The Mogul Embassy’s Swerve Strickland and AR Fox.

The Embassy called out Allin on the August 9th episode of Dynamite, to which the former TNT Champion answered. Allin referenced AR Fox’s decision to join the group the previous week but also reminded them that he also has backup.

The lights went out in the arena and came back on to reveal Sting in the ring. The Stinger took out most of the group with the baseball bat, leaving himself and Strickland alone in the ring. The Icon then pointed his bat at the All In poster as Strickland retreated out of the ring.

In a follow-up by AEW, not only was the match made official but would also be contested as a Tag Team Coffin match, a speciality of Darby Allin’s

In recent news, Sting and Darby Allin attacked AR Fox at his training school.

When Did Sting Last Wrestle In The UK

The two-time Hall of Famer last competed in the United Kingdom in 2013 as part of a tour by IMPACT Wrestling. The Icon teamed with Bully Ray to defeat Devon, Mr. Anderson and Doc in a 2 on 3 handicap match.

This was the latest match to be added to the Wembley Stadium card, with a championship match also being added on the same episode of Dynamite.

The debut UK show for AEW is now set to be the largest wrestling event ever attended in the country, beating the previous record set by SummerSlam 1992.
