Steve Austin Reveals Recent Message To CM Punk

CM Punk Stone Cold Steve Austin

Both Steve Austin and CM Punk know a thing or two about being the talk of the town, and Austin revealed that he’s recently been in contact with the Second City Savior as his AEW absence continues.

Speaking in a new interview with SI Media, Austin was asked about the ongoing situation between CM Punk and AEW. The Texas Rattlesnake answered that he recently had a conversation with Punk about his dog Larry and his recent triceps injury.

“I just sent a message to Punk yesterday and we were just talking about his dog. He posted a picture of his dog and I sent him a message. I heard through the grapevine that he pulled his tricep. I said, ‘Did you tear your tricep?’, and he confirmed that he had. I don’t know where he is on the healing process.”

“I Don’t Watch TV” – Steve Austin Says He Doesn’t Know Behind-The-Scenes Details About CM Punk

When it comes to the uncertainty surrounding Punk’s potential return to the company, Steve Austin says he doesn’t know the details of the situation and admits he doesn’t watch AEW programming.

“I don’t know the ins and outs or the behind the scenes stuff. We own a TV and we stream shows every night, but I don’t watch TV. I don’t watch any shows. What I do keep up with wrestling is on social media. I don’t know if there’s a soap opera behind Punk. I think he’s a hellacious talent. I don’t know the trouble or the ongoings of which you speak, so I can’t answer that question. That’s an honest response because I don’t know.”

On the most recent episode of Dynamite, it was announced that the debut episode of AEW Collision will take place in Chicago, seemingly paving the way for Punk to return to the company for the first time since his participation in the infamous brawl following last year’s All Out.
