Stephanie Vaquer is enjoying her time at the WWE Performance Center.
The Chilian sensation joined the company earlier this year after CMLL and New Japan issued a statement that she would not be fulfilling her remaining dates and that the Women’s World Championship would be vacated.
She then made her onscreen debut for NXT on the September 8th episode by siding with fellow newcomer Giulia to take out Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez.
The newcomers then faced Jade and Perez at the Halloween Havoc PLE. Vaquer and Giulia defeated the heels when the former hit Perez with a move made famous by AJ Styles, the Spiral Tap. During his time in TNA, Styles used the move regularly, however, he retired the move in his later years stating in an interview with CBS Sports’ Shakiel Mahjouri:
I had put it on the back burner for so long, I just lost it. It’s in my head. I can’t pull it off the way… if I can’t pull it off the way that I want to do it, I don’t want to do it at all. If it’s not perfect… I haven’t attempted it on a trampoline, in a pool, nothing. It’s there for the Ospreays [Will Ospreay] and anybody else who wants to do it,” h/t Fightful

Speaking on Instagram Live, Vaquer commented on being able to hit the move.
“That’s a move I’ve been trying to nail down for years. In fact, I was hurting from the hip after I landed badly in an attempt of the move, so nailing down the move was always tough because I did not have the resources to practice it properly. Once I got to the PC and had the equipment to practice, I decided to practice the move again and I was able to finally nail the move down. Then I thought what better time to use it than to pin the champion on my first show and show off everything I have, so im proud of that turned out,” h/t Fightful
