Stephanie Vaquer Officially Joins WWE Main Roster; Announced For Huge Match

Stephanie Vaquer

Stephanie Vaquer is now officially a part of the WWE main roster.

On the recent 27th May episode of NXT, Vaquer lost her NXT Women’s Championship in a shocking upset to Jacy Jayne. Soon, rumors began circulating about Vaquer and Jordynne Grace possibly being moved to the main roster.

Vaquer’s former rival, Giulia, recently joined the SmackDown roster, while Roxanne Perez officially joined Raw. Earlier today, in a social media announcement by Raw general manager Adam Pearce, it was announced that Stephanie Vaquer has now officially joined the Raw roster.

She is now scheduled to compete against Liv Morgan and Ivy Nile in a women’s Money in the Bank qualifying match on the June 2nd episode of Raw. While this is her official addition to the main roster, the Dark Angel has previously wrestled twice on Raw since WrestleMania 41.

Hall Of Famer’s Role In Stephanie Vaquer’s WWE Signing

Earlier this year, during an interview with Kevin Felgueras of Rock & Pop FM, Stephanie Vaquer detailed her WWE negotiations and how she had almost lost the deal, before naming Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels’ role in her signing.

“It caught me by surprise, as I was still in talks with WWE. We are going to tell the whole story. What happened is that I was involved in a very important match. After that match, WWE called me on the phone and said, “Are you interested in working with us?” and I said, “Of course I am, what do you propose?”. They asked me afterwards, “Would you like to go to the Main Roster or NXT?” and I said Main Roster first.

There were money deals and I was waiting for the proposal because at that time I was living in Mexico and I had a double contract with NJPW and CMLL and, at that time, I had the most important Women’s World Championship in NJPW and the two most important women’s championships in Mexico, so I had a huge responsibility in me from the biggest companies in their respective countries.

I am a person who likes to do things calmly and think well, not rushed. I was so excited that WWE reached out to me. Someone from the office talked to me, and that was the negotiation. I remember I went back and talked to my company, CMLL, and told them that they called me and offered me to work with them, and my boss thought I was talking about AEW because I said they would talk to me. We just stared at each other and I asked “wait, did AEW talk to you?” and he said, “yes, they talked to me yesterday because they wanted to do business with you.”
