Stephanie Vaquer has hit a new record.
The 15th February edition of NXT Vengeance Day PLE began with a high-paced title match. In the first match of the night, Fallon Henley fought Vaquer with her Women’s North American Championship on the line.
Despite interferences from Jacy Jayne and Jazmyn Nyx, Henley failed to retain her gold. Dropping her with a Spiral Tap from the top rope, Stephanie Vaquer defeated Fallon Henley to become the new Women’s North American Champion. However, her title win also earned Vaquer a record.
With her first title win in the promotion, Stephanie Vaquer is now the first-ever South American-born female Champion in the promotion’s history. With her win tonight, Vaquer has proved her potential, and how she’s ready for bigger things.
With her win tonight, Vaquer also became the first women’s wrestler to win a singles title in both WWE and CMLL since Hall of Famer Bull Nakano.
Stephanie Vaquer Opens Up On Who Helped Her Perfect The Spiral Tap
Last year, speaking on an Instagram live session, Stephanie Vaquer displayed her gratitude toward the Performance Center for helping her hit this popular AJ Styles move.
“That’s a move I’ve been trying to nail down for years. In fact, I was hurting from the hip after I landed badly in an attempt of the move, so nailing down the move was always tough because I did not have the resources to practice it properly. Once I got to the PC and had the equipment to practice, I decided to practice the move again and I was able to finally nail the move down. Then I thought what better time to use it than to pin the champion on my first show and show off everything I have, so im proud of that turned out.”
Within just months of learning the move, Vaquer has now won her first title in the company with the Spiral Tap itself.
