Stephanie Vaquer was the talk of the town last week with her sudden RAW disappearance. A contract signing with IYO Sky for Wrestlepalooza was scheduled for the red brand, which was unexpectedly called off without any reasoning.
The very next night on NXT, La Primera shocked fans with her return to the brand, joining forces with Tiffany Stratton and Rhea Ropley against Fatal Influence.
Vaquer’s presentation, along with her in-ring talent, propelled her to become a fan-favorite with the WWE Universe within a year of her joining the company.
Stephanie Vaquer won the Evolution Battle Royal to contend for the Women’s World Championship at Clash in Paris against Naomi. When the title was relinquished, Vaquer was removed from the match card. Adam Pearce came up with the solution of La Primera vs. IYO Sky at Wrestlepalooza to crown the next champion.
Vaquer’s RAW absence sparked concern as it was an abrupt reduction in time on screen lately. Some rumors started doing the rounds that she was injured with nothing of major concern and would be back on WWE TV soon.
