According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Stephanie McMahon previously turned down the opportunity to become Executive Director of Monday Night Raw.

Stephanie, who would have been under the same pressures and had the same duties as Paul Heyman had, rebuked the position to work underneath her father stating that she was happy in the role she currently serves.

Stephanie McMahon-Levesque is tasked as WWE’s Chief Brand Officer with her duties entailing being responsible for the image of WWE and overseeing any and all marketing, advertising and design. She is also required to report to the Chief Executive Officer – Vince McMahon.

According to Fightful, who attended Paul Heyman’s media tour last week, the current advocate to WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns was offered the role after Stephanie turned it down. As reported, many were shocked that Heyman had put himself in a position to work under Vince after the way their relationship ended in 2006.

It was noted that Triple H could have also had the position had he required it.

While at the helm of Monday Night Raw, Paul Heyman put a heavy focus on new and upcoming talent while spotlighting those who hadn’t previously been given a chance. Apollo Crews was just one recipient of Heyman’s initiative.

WWE removed Paul Heyman from his position as Executive Director of the red brand in June this year and replaced him with Bruce Pritchard after ratings began to decline.

Stephanie McMahon last appeared on WWE television to announce the draft picks on Raw and Friday Night SmackDown on October 12.
