Fans attending Double Or Nothing at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville may get more than they bargained for when it comes to the Stadium Stampede match according to new reports.
Fightful Select has reported that the Stadium Stampede match set to take place between The Pinnacle and Inner Circle is going to have “a significant live element to it.” The sources that they spoke to did not give specific details but promised a “unique live experience” for the fans in attendance.
The previous Stadium Stampede at 2020’s Double Or Nothing was completely pre-taped as no fans could be in attendance due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In that night’s main event Chris Jericho led his Inner Circle into battle against The Elite team of The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, Hangman Page, and Matt Hardy.
The Elite came out on top on that occasion after Omega finished Sammy Guevara with a One-Winged Angel off of the part of the stadium onto a platform below.
Inner Circle issued the challenge to The Pinnacle for the second edition of Stadium Stampede after The Pinnacle defeated Inner Circle in Blood and Guts. The two-ringed, roofed-cage match ended after Guevara surrendered for his team to stop MJF from throwing Jericho off the top of the cage. With the match called in favour of The Pinnacle after the surrender, MJF proceeded to launch Jericho off the cage anyway.
After Inner Circle challenged The Pinnacle, MJF initially refused the challenge saying that The Pinnacle had nothing left to prove. Jericho and his teammates would not be deterred however and they soaked The Pinnacle with a little bit of the bubbly on AEW Dynamite. MJF then furiously accepted the challenge but added the stipulation that if Inner Circle loses the Stadium Stampede, they must disband.
