Former WWE and TNA star Mr. Anderson

Details regarding Ken Anderson’s major return after almost a decade.

On September 5, TNA taped an episode of iMPACT at the Armory in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Several high-profile stars were present for the show and set up matches for the upcoming Bound for Glory pay-per-view next month. However, what got fans talking was the return of Ken Anderson.

Ken Anderson gained popularity during his short stint in WWE from 2005 to 2009, where he wrestled as Mr. Kennedy, capturing the Money in the Bank contract in 2007, and is a one-time United States Champion. Following his departure, he wrestled in TNA from 2010 until 2016, known as Mr. Anderson. After almost a decade, the former World Heavyweight Champion has finally returned.

Ken Anderson Also Shocked His Family During Recent TNA Taping Appearance

Ahead of the September 5 taping, it was already announced that Ken Anderson, who has been a resident of Minnesota for decades, was in the area to host the Q&A and photo-opportunity session with Matt and Jeff Hardy called Twin Cities Hardy Party. As it turns out, the former TNA star also had other festivities planned.

For the main event, Ken Anderson teamed up with Steve Maclin, where they defeated Jake Something and Frankie Kazarian. As per PWTorch, the former WWE star’s wife and children were present, and his kids were also shocked and emotional that they competed in the show as they thought he was only there to visit.

This marked the first time the 49-year-old competed in Total Nonstop Action after almost a decade. His last match took place on January 7, 2016, in a dark match, wherein he defeated Eric Young via disqualification for the King of the Mountain title. His latest televised match for the promotion was a day before, during One Night Only, where he defeated Bram.
