Special Guest Referee Added To SummerSlam Match

A special guest referee will officiate a big title match SummerSlam.

At Money In The Bank, The Usos retained their Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships against The Street Profits. However, video footage was shown afterward of Montez Ford’s shoulder being up during the decisive pin-fall.

It was later announced that The Street Profits would get their rematch at SummerSlam, with an added twist. During the July 11th edition of Raw, it was confirmed that the rematch at the summer spectacular will include a special guest referee to ensure that there isn’t any more controversy.

Despite no hints on who the referee could be, R-Truth threw his name in for contention during a heated segment between The Usos and The Street Profits. Truth revealed that he was certified to be a professional referee and even brought his diploma as proof. The giant Omos also threw his hat into the ring, leading to a six-man tag match between all six stars.

In the match, Omos pinned Angelo Dawkins to give The Usos another win over their rivals. The Usos have held tag team gold since Money In The Bank 2021 where they captured the SmackDown Titles. The Bloodline stars unified added the Raw Titles on May 20th.

SummerSlam promises to be a huge night for the faction as Roman Reigns defends his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Brock Lesnar. On Raw, Lesnar cut a promo promising to take down the champion, before venting his rage on Otis and Chad Gable, driving the former through the announce table.
