AEW Grand Slam will be returning in September.
It has been reported by Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast that the event(s) will be back on September 20th.
The special was first held in 2021 and saw AEW head to the Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York, with Dynamite and Rampage both filmed at the venue. The show saw over 20,000 fans in attendance which is the current record for the company, although this will be beaten by All In on August 27th, 2023.
It is unclear how Collision will factor into the tapings, with Dynamite and Rampage usually taking place on the same night.
The news comes after it was announced that AEW will be heading back to Chicago and the United Center for All Out on September 3rd. The run into the event will begin with Dynamite taking place in the city on August 30th, with Collision also taped in the United Center on September 2nd.
Saraya Made Her AEW Debut At Grand Slam In 2022
The 2022 edition of AEW Dynamite Grand Slam was headlined by the clash between Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson who were meeting in the final of a tournament to decide a new World Champion. In the end, it was Moxley who grabbed the win, becoming the promotion’s only three-time World Champion in the process.
The show also saw Saraya make her debut with the company, where she came to the ring to help Toni Storm who’d been attacked by Britt Baker, Serena Deeb, and Jamie Hayter.
