Sonny Kiss Refutes Injury Claims

Sonny Kiss

Sonny Kiss has refuted injury claims via Twitter. The AEW star was responding to reports after Tony Schiavone seemed to confirm an injury. Speaking on the AEW Dynamite Post-Show on YouTube, Schiavone said:

“He’s been injured. I’ve seen him in the training room. So he’s been banged up. I’ve seen him in the gym but he’s just not able to perform. He is a tremendous athlete.”

Kiss took to Twitter to seemingly correct this story:

“I’m not sure how this narrative started that I was injured, but babygirl is totally okay. Just an FYI.

Be sure to tune in to #AEWDark and #AEWDynamite as always. #imwithaew

Schiavone responded to Kiss, saying:

“Great news! I was ask (sic) where you’d been and I had no answer except that I had seen you in the training room recently.”

Sonny Kiss last appeared for AEW on the 22nd December edition on Dark, losing to Miro. Reports at the time had suggested that Kiss may have been injured during this match, but that doesn’t now appear to be the case.

‘The Concrete Rose’ has been teaming up with fellow New Jersey native Joey Janela. Sonny Kiss’ most prominent match in AEW thus far was taking on Kenny Omega on the October 21st edition of Dynamite. The match took place in the AEW World Championship eliminator tournament and Rose was defeated in less than 30 seconds.
