Joining The Bloodline at Clash at the Castle on September 3, Solo Sikoa has been a natural fit for both the group and for the SmackDown roster. Part of this fit has involved the development of a hilarious friendship with ‘Honorary Uce’ Sami Zayn, which has resulted in Sikoa actually breaking character on WWE programming.
Breaking character has been a continuous aspect of Sami Zayn’s relationship with the remainder of The Bloodline. As recently as the October 29 Friday Night SmackDown, ‘The Master Strategist’ caused the group to lose their angry demeanour upon stating that Jey Uso hadn’t been feeling “very Ucey”.
Sami Zayn Has Been Compared To Kobe Bryant
In a new interview with GiveMeSport’s Louis Dangoor, Solo Sikoa compared Sami Zayn to the late NBA Hall of Famer Kobe Bryant, referring to Zayn still being willing to be a student of the game, despite his two decades of experience outlasting any other Bloodline member:
“A lot of people would do anything to be in my position to get taught by these guys – my brothers [The Usos], the best tag team in WWE ever; Roman Reigns, the greatest champion and still going; and Sami Zayn, the student of the game. He’s like the Kobe Bryant of wrestling.”
Solo Sikoa continued, noting how Sami Zayn was always providing feedback to him. Specifically, the correlation to the Los Angeles Lakers icon is due to the multi-time WWE Intercontinental Champion constantly pitching new ideas and staying creative at every second:
“He’s always critiquing my matches and giving me feedback, and so is Roman, so is Paul [Heyman], and my brothers, and I love that about everybody. Especially Sami, he’s family now. He’s in The Bloodline, but really getting to know him, he’s there. Like, he is there to help. It’s pretty cool.”
Sami Zayn was officially welcomed into The Bloodline when he was made an ‘Honorary Uce’ on the September 23 Friday Night SmackDown. Roman Reigns threatened Jey Uso on the latest blue brand broadcast, stating how he would turn Zayn into Sami Uso.
