WWE Hall of Famer Snoop Doggy Dogg is set to appear on AEW Dynamite as a guest commentator.

All Elite Wrestling recently announced a trio of holiday specials including Holiday Bash, which will air on December 23rd following the NBA match between the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks and New Year’s Smash, and New Year’s Smash which will run over two weeks (December 30th and January 6th).

Night 1 of New Year’s Smash is set to feature ‘special guests’, whilst The Doggfather has already been announced as appearing on night 2.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter clarified Snoop’s role via Twitter, confirming that the rapper would be joining Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone and Excalibur at the commentary desk.

The appearance will be the latest in a string of announce booth outings for Snoop, who recently covered fellow AEW alumni Mike Tyson’s return bout against Roy Jones Jr.

During the fight, Snoop’s commentary was praised online as he made light of the veteran’s respective performances, with several quotable quips such as:

This s**t like two of my uncles fighting at the barbecue.

Snoop Dogg is the latest in a series of celebrities making their presence known in AEW, with the aforementioned Tyson and more recently, Shaquille O’Neal both having featured on Dynamite.
