Swerve Strickland, MJF, And Tony Khan Apparently React After Brock Lesnar’s WWE Return

Brock Lesnar returns to WWE

Several AEW stars shared interesting social media posts following Brock Lesnar‘s blockbuster WWE return.

The main event of SummerSlam Night 2 saw the long-awaited rematch between Cody Rhodes and John Cena for the Undisputed WWE Championship in a Street Fight. The American Nightmare dethroned the 17-time World Champion in an epic encounter, and just as the latter was about to exit the ring after the bout, Brock Lesnar made a shocking return. The Beast ended up taking out The Franchise Player with an F5.

The Beast Incarnate’s return sparked considerable discussions and reactions in the wrestling world. While some were excited, others reacted negatively to his comeback. Wrestling personalities also made their fair share of social media posts after Brock Lesnar’s comeback, like AEW star Mercedes Mone, who posted a few captionless photographs that may have conveyed her shock, frustration, and disgust.

Another All Elite Wrestling star who seemingly tweeted about it was Swerve Strickland. The Realest worked in WWE from 2019 to 2021. The 34-year-old posted a photo from the show Snowfall, which showcased one of the characters, Franklin Saint, crying. From the looks of it, this could be interpreted as the star being saddened or disappointed.

CMLL Light Heavyweight Champion Maxwell Jacob Friedman utilized the buzz in the wrestling world online after The Beast’s return to promote his upcoming Grudge Match against long-time rival Mark Briscoe on AEW Dynamite’s main event on August 6 in Cleveland, Ohio.

Tony Khan Also Shared A Post Immediately After Brock Lesnar’s WWE Return

Not only did AEW wrestlers seemingly react to The Beast Incarnate’s shocking WWE return, but All Elite Wrestling’s President, Tony Khan, also did the same. Interestingly, he had a similar strategy to MJF, which was to use the buzz in the wrestling world to promote the upcoming Dynamite episode instead.

On X (Twitter), the founder thanked everybody watching All Elite Wrestling and dedicated the success of the company this year to fans who watch the weekly and pay-per-view shows.

Thank you all who watch AEW! AEW is having an excellent 2025 because of all of you watching the @AEWonTV + ppv shows! See you this week on @TBSNetwork + @StreamOnMax for Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite THIS WEDNESDAY!”
