It has been announced that The Usos will defend their SmackDown Tag Team Titles on Super SmackDown at Madison Square Garden.
The match was made after the champions and The Street Profits met on the September 3rd episode of the blue brand. This is in turn came after the two teams previously clashed with The Street Profits backing up Finn Balor as he was being beaten down by The Bloodline.
On September 3rd, The Usos were disqualified after they repeatedly slammed Montez Ford into the corner post. With the match fully broken down, the champions launched Angelo Dawkins into the ring steps. However, The Street Profits were determined to have the last word, with Ford throwing himself over the top rope to take out Jimmy and Jey.
The Usos won the SmackDown Tag Team Titles at Money In The Bank, defeating Rey and Dominik Mysterio.
The blockbuster episode of SmackDown at the ‘World’s Most Famous Arena’ will also feature the return of Brock Lesnar. Although The Beast returned to WWE at SummerSlam he has remained absent from SmackDown. However, that all changes on September 10th.
On the most recent episode of the show, a flustered Paul Heyman approached his latest charge Roman Reigns after taking a phone call from Lesnar. Heyman said that they had a problem as Lesnar was heading to SmackDown the following week. A nonplussed Reigns corrected his Special Counsel saying that it was only Heyman who had the problem.
The show will also feature a huge SummerSlam rematch when Edge takes on Seth Rollins aiming to finally put their feud to bed. Meanwhile, SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair will hold a contract signing for their clash at Extreme Rules.
