Steve Cutler would recently feature on SmackDown as one of King Corbin’s Knights of the Lone Wolf, having previously been part of the Forgotten Sons.
Cutler had originally featured in NXT as a singles competitor, competing against Baron Corbin several times, before joining The Forgotten Sons. While the team established themselves on NXT, their SmackDown run was short-lived.
Cutler had only recently returned to WWE television alongside King Corbin, but that run was seemingly just as short-lived.
The grouping, which also included Wesley Blake, haven’t been seen on television together for several weeks, as Corbin has been acting as a Lone Wolf again recently.
Meanwhile, the third forgotten son, Jaxson Ryker, is featured on RAW alongside Elias. The team featured on this week’s show, losing to Jeff Hardy and a returning Carlito.
Steve Cutler has since commented on his release.
“Unfortunately, today I was released. It was shocking, to say the least. But, I am excited about the future and all the possibilities in front of me.
“Thanks for your continued support.
