A new report has revealed that a huge star from Friday Night SmackDown will be on the upcoming July 4th edition of Monday Night Raw.
Since moving to WWE’s main roster in April, Gunther has been in truly dominant form, and it seems that he’s now set to take his path of destruction of Monday Night Raw.
A new report from Fightful Select has claimed that the star will be appearing on the July 4th episode of the red brand in a “highly patriotic” segment with R-Truth.
Although Gunther didn’t appear at Monday In The Bank on July 2nd, the report reiterates that he is “heavily favoured by people of influence” in WWE.
Fightful add that Alexa Bliss, Riddle, Street Profits, Theory, MVP, Omos, Bobby Lashley, Otis, Chad Gable, Mysterios and Judgment Day are also set to be featured on the show.
Gunther made his WWE debut back in January 2019 where he appeared in NXT UK to confront Pete Dunne. The giant Austrian known as WALTER went on to win the United Kingdom Championship, holding the title for a record 870 days.
After eventually losing the championship to Ilja Dragunov the star moved to NXT and was renamed Gunther in January 2022. After losing to Bron Breakker on the April 5th episode of NXT 2.0 the former WALTER moved to the main roster where he was joined by Marcel Barthel, now known as Ludwig Kaiser.
Since moving to SmackDown, the star has remained unbeaten and pinned Ricochet to claim the Intercontinental Title on June 10th.
