Jade Cargill has been replaced as WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion.
During the November 22nd edition of SmackDown, Cargill was found unconscious backstage. The two-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion was seen sprawled across the smashed windscreen of car.
Officials rushed to her aid and called for an ambulance to take her to hospital. Belair joined her tag team partner in the vehicle visibly upset by the situation.
The star has not featured on programming since. She was replaced in the tournament to crown the inaugural Women’s United States Champion by Lash Legend and then by Bayely in the Women’s WarGames match at Survivor Series.
Now, Noami has replaced her as Bianca Belair’s partner in a title defence while Nick Aldis continues to investigate who attacked Cargill. During a backstage segment on the December 13th edition of SmackDown, Aldis told Belair that she must relinquish the titles until Naomi offered to step in for Cargill, causing Aldis to allow them to defend the Tag titles on the December 20th SmackDown against Nia Jax and Candice LeRae.
