A returning WWE star is not happy with their current run in the company.
Since returning to WWE in August 2022, Karrion Kross has seemingly been steadily dropped down the order from the main event scene. Following an attack on then number one contender Drew McIntyre during the shock debut, Kross would defeat McIntyre in a strap match at the Extreme Rules event thanks to interference form Scarlett.
Karrion Kross Has Not Reached His Full Potential On SmackDown
The rivalry would continue up until Crown Jewel in November. The Scottish Warrior would defeat the returning star in a Cage match in Saudi Arabia to end the rivalry.
Following the promising debut, many have found the work by the former NXT Champion on the main roster underwhelming. Kross himself agrees with this thought, feeling that he can do better.
Speaking on Superstar Crossover with Josh Martinez, Karrion Kross knows that he can reach higher heights while in WWE:
“This is probably unhealthy, and I shouldn’t say it, but I’m just gonna say it. I actually get really p*ssed, because it’s not enough. It’s not enough. I haven’t reached my full potential yet and people haven’t seen my best work yet. I know what I can do, and at this level, you need to be afforded certain types of opportunities, which is difficult with a big roster and only two hours of the program.”
Kross would continue, stating that people will be impressed when he is finally presented with an opportunity to show what he can really do:
“And I know that once I am afforded that particular shot — because I’ve been afforded a lot, let’s not get it twisted — once I am afforded that particularly shot to demonstrate what I can really do, what I’ve done where people on a major scale haven’t seen it? People are gonna be blown away. And I’m gonna fight for that every single week, to get closer and closer to that shot. And I’m being straight with you, I’m being very real.”
Kross had a an opportunity to become a champion in WWE once again during the February 10th broadcast of SmackDown. A Fatal 4 Way match took place on the show, where the winner would go on to challenge Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship. The other competitors involved were Rey Mysterio, Madcap Moss and Santos Escobar.
The match was won by Madcap Moss, who will be facing Gunther for the title in what is Moss’ first ever title match in WWE.
