The total viewership and demo ratings for the latest installment of Friday Night SmackDown have been revealed.
As reported by Brandon Thurston by Wrestlenomics, the June 24th episode of Friday Night SmackDown pulled in an average of 2,231,000 viewers. The show also scored a 0.53 rating in the 18-49 year-old-demographic.
This is a slight decrease from the previous week when the show drew 2,389,000 viewers with a 0.62 rating in the key demographic.
The opening to the June 24th edition of SmackDown began with Drew McIntyre and Sheamus making their case for winning Money In The Bank. WWE official Adam Pearce revealed however that if they wanted to be in the ladder match on July 2nd then they’d have to be the Unified Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos in the main event. Something that McIntyre and Sheamus later managed to achieve.
Sami Zayn also qualified for the men’s Money In The Bank match by defeating former teammate Shinsuke Nakamura while Shotzi qualified for the women’s match by defeating Tamina.
WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther picked up another impressive win over Ricochet and the Viking Raiders returned to WWE television attacking The New Day, signalling a turn to the villainous side for the team.
