“Significant Frustration” Reported With Booking Of WWE Women’s Division

Liv Morgan Carmella WWE SmackDown

A new report has revealed that there is “significant frustration” in WWE surrounding recent booking decisions made in their women’s division.

The report from Fightful Select refers to the October 8th episode of SmackDown which saw a first-round Queen’s Crown match between Carmella and Liv Morgan last under two minutes. Carmella emerged victorious from the bout, but the report noted that originally Morgan was pencilled in to get the win.

Fightful also went on to say that there is frustration from both talent and staff about the booking of the women’s division, including the limited amount of time that’s been given to them in several situations.

The other Queen’s Crown first-round match on the October 8th SmackDown saw Zelina Vega defeat Toni Storm in just over two minutes. Both of the women’s matches on the show getting so little time led to significant backlash on social media, with many fans voicing their own frustration with what they saw as poor treatment of the women’s division.

The Queen’s Crown tournament will continue on WWE Raw with Doudrop set to take on Natalya and Dana Brooke facing off against Shayna Baszler. The semi-finals will kick off on WWE SmackDown on October 15th with Zelina Vega battling Carmella.
