Shotzi Blackheart is one of the more unique personalities on WWE’s black and gold brand and she hasn’t been afraid to showcase that since signing on the dotted line in December 2019.
Though major opportunities have been few and far between, NXT’s ‘Twisted Sister’ has had chances at the number one contendership of NXT’s Women’s Championship.
Elsewhere, she competed in the 2020 Women’s Royal Rumble Match, teamed with Tegan Nox to challenge for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships and has recently been heavily involved with the Gargano family and their quest for gold.
Appearing on WWE’s The Bump, Blackheart has spoken about her hopes and dreams for her next year in NXT and the things she would ideally like to accomplish before she’s called up to Monday Night Raw or Friday Night SmackDown:
“I just want to have a lot of fun and have more chaotic matches. Like, I’m still waiting for my first stipulation match. Where’re the tables, the ladders, the chairs? The weapons?! I’m waiting for that because I haven’t gotten to do any hardcore stuff yet in NXT. So, that’s the goal for year two.”
While she waits for the carnage to begin, however, Shotzi was happy to recall the moment she was offered a NXT contract by General Manager William Regal at EVOLVE 137:
“At that moment, there were so many things going on in my head. It was a realization of all my hard work as an independent wrestler, just coming to this point, you know? It’s been a wild year. I already got to do so many cool things – be in the Royal Rumble, hosting Halloween Havoc, like, the coolest pay-per-view event ever. It’s wild.”
The last time we saw Shotzi was as host of NXT Halloween Havoc. At the culmination of the event, she aided Io Shirai in retaining her NXT Women’s Championship against Candice LeRae by neutrilising the mysterious Ghostface.
The future is bright for the tank driving, green haired grappler who is clearly setting her sights on bigger things in 2021. As her colleagues begin to get called-up around her, she could be the lynchpin NXT relies on down the line to spice up their division and cast a different shade on their top prize.
