Shotzi Blackheart and her tank actually wasn’t the result of a big creative team meeting, but an impulse buy at a local Walmart.
From hosting Halloween Havoc to competing in WarGames, Shotzi is enjoying plenty of high profile moments on the NXT brand. Making her appearances even more memorable with the tank she drives down the ramp during her entrances.
Speaking to Taylor Wilde on Wilde On, Blackheart reveals that before she had the one she had made especially for NXT, it was just a toy tank, one which wasn’t that hard to come by as it was an impulse buy from a Walmart.
So, I actually came out on that tank on the indies. That is my tank. I just saw it at Walmart one day and I’ve always come out with the helmet and I was like, ‘Oh my god, I already wear the helmet, this little tank is super cool!’
So, I got it. I brought it with me to Florida when I got signed, which my boyfriend was super annoyed with because traveling with it was a pain in the butt. He’s like, ‘They are not going to let you use this, why are you bringing it?’ and I’m like, ‘No, I’m stuck. I’m going to pitch this.

To Blackheart’s (and very likely her boyfriend’s) surprise, it didn’t take much of a pitch for those in NXT to allow her to use the tank on television.
Just one day, I was like, ‘Hey, so I have this tank. Check it out.’ They were just like, [and it was] randomly, a day before TV, they were like, ‘Hey, can you bring this over to Full Sail?’ I was like, ‘Yes! Yes, I will make it happen!’
Shotzi Blackheart used the same tank she did on the Independent Circuit, the very same that finally met it’s match when Candice LeRae drove over it in her car.
