The January 23rd edition of WWE Raw featured a celebration of the red brand’s 30th anniversary, complete with many legends in attendance.
Ahead of the show, it was announced that multiple WWE Hall of Famers would be featured on the broadcast. The show was originally advertised to feature every generation of The Bloodline in an Acknowledgment Ceremony, but days before the show that was changed to a Trial of Sami Zayn. The steel cage match between Becky Lynch and Bayley also didn’t take place as advertised, sparking outrage on social media.
As reported by Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, WWE Raw is XXX drew an average viewership of 2,344,000 people and scored a 0.70 rating in the 18-49 year old demographic. This is not only a significant increase over last week in both categories, but marks the highest WWE Raw viewership since February 2020 and the highest rating in the key demographic since the 2020 post-WrestleMania edition of WWE Raw.
The main event of WWE Raw saw Brock Lesnar make a shocking return to the company, once again launching an attack on Bobby Lashley. Lesnar also delivered an F5 to Austin Theory during the No Holds Barred United States Championship match, throwing Theory on top of Lashley to score the pinfall and retain his title.
