“Shelton Benjamin Is One Of The Most Talented People I’ve Worked With” – Eric Bischoff

Eric Bischoff

Eric Bischoff has praised “ultimate utility players” Dolph Ziggler and Shelton Benjamin.

On September 21st both Ziggler and Benjamin were among those released by WWE, having been out of the spotlight in recent months. While both men are held in high regard by fans and colleagues for their skills, neither has been featured in a meaningful program for a long time.

Speaking on his Strictly Business podcast, Eric Bischoff recalled working with Shelton Benjamin in the early 2000s and praised his ability as a performer.

“He’s genuinely one of the nicest, most professional, talented, and gifted people I’ve ever worked with. That one surprises me because Shelton is one of those guys, you can put him up on the shelf and you can just keep him there in inventory, take him out and plug him into any scenario you felt he needed at that moment, and he would overdeliver. He’s such a great performer, such a pro. He and [Dolph Ziggler], they are the ultimate professional wrestling utility players because they can do it all,”

Eric Bischoff Is A Big Fan Of Mustafa Ali

During the conversation, Eric Bischoff also took time to talk up Mustafa Ali. The former 205 Live star was seen as someone who was criminally underrated by WWE, with fans often calling on the company to do more with him.

Bischoff said that Ali is an “amazing talent” before tipping him to find success wherever he ends up.

In recent news, Shelton Benjamin has expressed interest in signing with AEW.
